ECE III � Executive Director (Daycare)

This position encompasses a number of areas/roles including:
  • Proven Leadership and team building skills.
  • Operational planning and management
  • Program planning and management
  • Human Resources planning and management
  • Financial planning and management
  • Conflict Resolution and management
  • Community relations/advocacy
  • Risk Management
  • Must have knowledge of QuickBooks or other accounting software.
Duties and Responsibilities include but are not limited to the following:
  • Manage the day-to-day business of the organization and implement strategies to attain its goals as set forth by the Board.
  • Participate with the Board of Directors in developing a vision and strategic plan to guide the organization.
  • Represent the organization at community activities to enhance the organization's community profile.
  • Develop an operational plan which incorporates goals and objectives that work towards the strategic direction of the organization.
  • Draft policies for the approval of the Board and prepare procedures to implement the organizational policies; review existing policies on an annual Basis and recommend changes to the Board as appropriate
  • Monitor the day-to-day delivery of the programs and services of the organization to maintain or improve quality.
  • Determine staffing requirements for effective program delivery.
  • Implement a performance management process for all staff which includes: monitoring the performance of staff on an on-going basis and conducting an annual performance review.
  • Administer the funds of the organization according to the approved budget and monitor the monthly cash flow
  • Establish good working relationships and collaborative arrangements with community groups, funders, and other organizations to help achieve the goals of the organization.
  • Other duties as outlined in Chapter 3 of the MCCA Human Resources Management Guide and Beaverlodge Care for Kids Inc. Board of Directors.
